Near-total exhaustion

It leaves you barely coherent

(Thank heavens for autocorrect)

Eyes blur and head buzzes

Stomach flops with unhappy worms

Hands lose dexterity

Adrenaline rushes with extra effort to concentrate

But each boost costs

And breathing gets harder

Too tired even to yawn

The pull of gravity hard to resist

When all you want is to lie down

But you have to stay vertical.
